Responsibilities:
- Coordinate transportation activities: Plan and schedule transportation operations, including the dispatching of vehicles, routing of shipments, and assigning drivers or carriers.
- Manage logistics operations: Oversee the loading, unloading, and storage of goods, ensuring proper handling and adherence to safety guidelines.
- Negotiate rates: Collaborate with carriers and negotiate competitive rates to optimize transportation costs and ensure cost-effectiveness.

- Maintain compliance: Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Monitor inventory levels: Collaborate with the inventory management team to track inventory levels and coordinate timely replenishment of materials.
- Provide reporting and analysis: Generate transportation-related reports and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
- Foster relationships: Build and maintain positive relationships with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams to optimize transportation processes and ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus.
