Responsibilities:

  1. Shipping and Receiving: Receive incoming shipments and verify their accuracy against purchase orders or invoices. Inspect the condition of items and ensure they meet quality standards. Prepare outgoing shipments by packaging items, labeling them correctly, and arranging transportation with carriers.
  2. Inventory Control: Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor stock levels. Perform regular inventory counts and reconcile any discrepancies. Update inventory systems or software to reflect changes in stock levels and location.
  3. Documentation and Record-Keeping: Prepare shipping documents, such as bills of lading or shipping manifests. Ensure all necessary paperwork, such as customs forms or certificates of origin, is completed accurately and on time. Keep detailed records of shipments, including tracking numbers, delivery dates, and any issues or delays.
  4. Warehouse Organization: Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment. Arrange items in designated storage areas, ensuring efficient use of space. Use proper handling techniques and equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks, to move and store goods safely.
  5. Communication and Coordination: Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure smooth flow of goods. Communicate any shipment delays or issues to relevant parties and work together to find solutions. Collaborate with colleagues in other departments, such as purchasing or sales, to meet customer demands and deadlines.
