Abdulkadir Jelani Danbuga, the member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) representing the Isa-Sabon Birni federal constituency, has passed away.
The sad news was confirmed by Aminu Almustapha (aka Boza), the lawmaker representing Sabon Birni South constituency in the Sokoto State House of Assembly. Danbuga, who was elected on the APC platform, succumbed to a brief illness around 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday. He had been admitted to the hospital on Tuesday noon.
Almustapha stated that the late House of Representatives lawmaker would be laid to rest in Sokoto State on the same day, starting with the bathing ritual at the National Mosque. The burial ceremony is scheduled to take place at 11 a.m.
Danbuga, survived by two wives, numerous children, and grandchildren, leaves behind a legacy in the political landscape, and his untimely demise has left a void in the APC community.
