Matthew Barry, casting director of ‘The Notebook,’ chats with ET’s Kevin Frazier about Britney Spears’ audition for the popular romance film. Matthew calls Britney’s audition ‘unbelievable’ and says she ‘blew us all away.’ He says the part came down to Britney and Rachel McAdams, who eventually won the role of ‘Allie.’ Matthew also reveals who else Britney was up against for the role including Jessica Biel, Scarlett Johansson, Kate Bosworth and Mandy Moore.
