The $10 Billion Dollar Neighborhood In a Power Station
The future is being planned actively all over the world in giant new future cities, over the top futuristic buildings and new smart cities where iphones optimize every single aspect of everyone’s lives 24/7. So it’s surprising that London is actually looking backwards to make their city of the future. That would be the fact that they’re looking at the Battersea building to get renovated and to become a neighborhood of the future. By all accounts, this $10 billion project looks to become one of the finest new living areas the famous UK city has to offer. Though it might be only for the richest in the city.
The project was separated into multiple phases that built up the various apartment complexes, business offices and shopping spaces. It was opened earlier this year and has already made history as one of the coolest new developments the city has seen in years. Though it is not cheap to move in.
The building has a rich history in the city. It was built before WWII but building had to be paused due to the Blitz. It then was completed and provided a great deal of power to the city, including that of the royal family. Then there’s the mark its left on popular culture. That includes several big bands and movies like Pink Floyd and Batman himself!
