Powerful Fulani Group Sends Message To Tinubu After His Latest Announcement

The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) has sent a message to President Bola Tinubu.

MACBAN expressed gratitude to Tinubu for establishing the Ministry of Livestock Development.

In a statement released in Abuja on Tuesday, MACBAN president Baba Othman-Ngelzarma praised President Tinubu for fulfilling his promise to enhance Nigeria’s agricultural productivity and ensure food security by creating the new Ministry.

The announcement was made during a State House event, where President Tinubu also inaugurated the presidential committee on livestock development.

Reacting to this move, MACBAN highlighted that the Ministry of Livestock would unlock the potential of Nigeria’s trillion-naira livestock industry. The association noted that President Tinubu had realized a long-standing goal they had been striving to achieve.

“With this development, MACBAN believes the hope of Nigerian pastoralists is now achieved under the Renew Hope Agenda,” the statement read. “The promise made by President Tinubu to enhance the productive capacity of Nigerian agriculture to ensure food security is being fulfilled. We, as an association, had been agitating for years to establish a stand-alone ministry to modernize the livestock production system in line with global best practices.”

On behalf of the Chairman and members of the Board of Trustees of MACBAN, including the Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’ad Abubakar III, and all members of the Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria nationwide, Othman-Ngelzarma extended heartfelt congratulations to President Tinubu and the Commander-in-Chief of the Nigerian Armed Forces for this significant development.
