The Nigerian Air Force’s Operation Hadarin Daji recently targeted a criminal gang associated with Yusuf Yellow and Rabe Imani in the Faskari Local Government Area of Katsina State.

During the nighttime airstrikes, over 100 terrorists were eliminated, and 45 motorcycles were destroyed.

This information was disclosed by Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, Chief Press Secretary to Governor Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsina State, in an official statement.

He highlighted that this marks the third successful airstrike by NAF in the Faskari-Kankara region, significantly disrupting terrorist activities in recent times.

The statement further detailed an early Sunday morning incident in which security forces responded to a kidnapping alert in Jibia LGA, Katsina State.

According to a reliable police source, the distress call was received around 4:15 am from residents of the Kwata area in Jibia LGA.

A police patrol team, led by a Superintendent, quickly confronted the armed bandits who had taken three women and a six-month-old baby hostage.

The patrol team successfully blocked the kidnappers’ escape route, leading to a gunfight that ultimately forced the bandits to flee, resulting in the safe rescue of all the hostages.

The rescued individuals were identified as Ummulkhari Abubakar, 23; Shafa’atu Abubakar, 35; Maryam Lawal, 15; and a six-month-old baby boy named Ismail Usman.
