Matthew Perry’s Friend Recalls Conversation the Day Before He Died

Matthew Perry was spotted out to lunch in Bel-Air with a woman one day before his death in photos obtained by TMZ. His friend, entertainment journalist Athenna Crosby, tells ET about their conversation last Friday, including that Matthew shared his plans to reach out to Zac Efron about potentially starring in a biopic about his life. On Saturday, Matthew was found dead in a jacuzzi at his home. He was 54. The Los Angeles Fire Department shared details with ET in a statement on Wednesday. ‘A bystander had brought the man’s head above the water and gotten him to the edge, then firefighters removed him from the water upon their arrival,’ the LAFD’s statement read. ‘A rapid medical assessment, sadly, revealed the man was deceased prior to first responder arrival.’
