JUST IN: FCT Senator Blasts Wike Over His Latest Claim As Their Tussle Worsens

Senator Ireti Kingibe, representing the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, has stated that she has no interest in befriending the Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike.

This statement came in response to Wike’s claim that she is attempting to forcefully establish a friendship with him.

Senator Kingibe clarified her position during an interview with Reuben Abati on Arise TV on Monday, highlighting that she has never met Wike and has no desire to be friends with him.

“I have never been in the same room with the minister, except during senate committee meetings,” Kingibe explained. “So, how does friendship come into play? Why would I want to be friends with someone I do not know?”

Kingibe further pointed out that the Minister has consistently refused to communicate with her, making it challenging to relay the needs and wishes of the FCT residents to him.

She said, “The truth is, the minister refuses to speak or communicate in any way with the senator representing the FCT. How, then, are the wishes and needs of the people supposed to be communicated to him? If you know a way, please tell me,”.
