JUST IN: Famous EndSARS Protester, DJ Switch Arrested

Popular EndSARS protester DJ Switch, also known as Obianuju Catherine Udeh, has been apprehended by the police in Lagos and is presently en route to the magistrate court in Eti Osa.

According to information from a police source speaking to LIB, DJ Switch visited the Elemoro Police Station in Ajah on Monday, April 15, to report a man who allegedly defrauded her. Subsequently, the man was arrested the same day and has remained in police custody.

On Wednesday, April 17, DJ Switch was invited by the police to determine whether she wished to press charges against the suspect or if he should be released on bail, in compliance with the legal requirement not to detain an accused for more than 48 hours. However, DJ Switch reportedly insisted that she only sought an apology from the accused, which she planned to record and share online. When the accused refused, the police decided to proceed to court, given the impasse.

As the officers were preparing to transport the accused to court, DJ Switch purportedly used her vehicle to block the station’s entrance and allegedly assaulted the female officers involved in the case. Consequently, she was arrested for obstructing police duty, resisting arrest, and assaulting police officers. The accused was similarly taken to court and remanded in prison custody.

DJ Switch is presently headed to the Magistrate Court in Eti-Osa, where she will face charges of allegedly obstructing police officers while on duty, resisting arrest, and assaulting police officers.
