‘I Will Advise My Colleagues To Obey The Law And Vacate Their Office Like I Did’ -Anengi Barasua

The Chairman of Bonny Local Government, Anengi Barasua has advised her colleagues to adhere to the law and vacate their offices as she has done after her three years tenure.

She stated that she has already vacated her office and is awaiting directives from His Excellency, Sir Sim Fubara, to proceed with the necessary formalities. Addressing the ongoing conflicts in certain local governments, she urged the council chairmen to embrace peace. She underscored the importance of maintaining tranquility and resolving disputes through peaceful means rather than confrontation.

She said in an interview with Channels TV, ”I have already vacated office and all I’m waiting for is that his excellency, Sir Sim Fubara should give the directive and we do the needful. In those local government that we are having these issues, I think they should just embrace peace. I will advise my colleagues to obey the law and vacate their office like I did.”
