It was a tragic scene to behold along Deco Road in Warri, Delta State on Wednesday evening as a heavy-duty 12-tyre truck reportedly crushed a middle-aged man to death in the presence of his wife and in front of their residence.
Newsdirect gathered that the man and his wife were returning from an outing from the Okumagba Estate axis of the road and were in the process of crossing to their residence located opposite the bypass after alighting from a commercial tricycle (keke) when the ill-fated truck crushed the man to death.
Witnesses said that the driver of the truck was negotiating the bypass when the left side of the back tyres hit the unsuspecting man, climbed him, and smashed his head and upper region of his body to pieces in the process.
