BREAKING: Political Leaders Hit The Street For Wike Amid Clash With Fubara (VIDEO)
Political leaders from different wards in Obio/Akpor are staging a solidarity march in support of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike.
The protesters, currently gathered at Rumueme Civic Centre in Port Harcourt, are calling for the Inspector General of Police to ensure a strong presence in the councils and to resist any form of intimidation.
The demonstrators emphasized the importance of continued police oversight to maintain security and order within the councils. They voiced concerns over potential threats and urged the Inspector General to stand firm against any pressure that might undermine the state’s stability.
Holding banners and placards expressing unwavering support for Wike, the protesters responded to the recent sacking of Wike’s loyalists at local councils by Governor Sim Fubara. Despite Fubara replacing the sacked council bosses, the secretariats remain locked.
