Burial of Ex-Reps Speaker, Na’Abba, Holds In Kano

The burial of a former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ghali Umar Na’Abba, is underway in Kano, North-West Nigeria.

Already, the janaza prayer has been held at the palace of the Emir of Kano, Ado Bayero, on Wednesday evening, as the crowd of dignitaries and supporters move to the burial site.

Dignitaries present at the event included Vice President Kashim Shettima, who represented President Bola Tinubu.

The former Speaker, who led the Green Chamber between 1999 and 2003, was said to have died in the early hours of Wednesday.
