JUST IN: Shaibu Reveals Why He Is Unstoppable In Move To Take Over Power

Edo State Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu has disclosed why he is unstoppable in his bid to become the next Governor of the state.

Shaibu formally announced his candidacy for the 2024 governorship election, choosing to run under the banner of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). The declaration took place at Biohop Kelly Centre in Benin City on Monday morning.

In his statement, Shaibu, explained that he is a “homeboy which shows his deep connection to the Edo roots.” He also expressed a deep understanding of the people’s struggles and a strong commitment to the state’s development. Asserting his determination, he declared himself “unstoppable” in the upcoming 2024 election.

Shaibu highlighted his collaborative efforts with Governor Godwin Obaseki over the past seven years, laying the groundwork for Edo State’s development. He called on the public to rally behind him in achieving his aspiration to become the state’s next governor.

It’s worth noting that the initially scheduled declaration at Eterno Hotel faced a last-minute cancellation by the hotel, citing a conflicting program with Governor Obaseki. The strained relationship between Obaseki and Shaibu over the governorship bid has been apparent.
